The purpose of this project, if I can dignify it with so noble a word, is to answer your questions. I can answer any question, provided you don’t require the answers to be correct or useful in any way. The purpose is entertainment.
Please submit your questions using the “Ask a question” link, above. I’ll answer those I like and can come up with a good answer for. It may take a while for me to get around to your question (if ever). If you want to be told when your answer is posted, please enter your email address on the question form. Or, you can use my handy RSS feed, for irregular bursts of entertainment.
The BootCam project provides a live video feed of a pair of boots, one of which is broken. Feel free to watch for as long as you like. So far, things have been pretty quiet. There is no audio.
Years ago, in the dark ages, when I did all my drafting by hand, we used a little cloth bag filled with a powder that was called “pounce.” One would pat it on the drafting paper leaving a fine powder that reduced the smearing of graphite on the paper. After completing the drawing, the pounce was swept off with a drafting board brush. A type of pounce is also used on table shuffleboards to provide more slide-ability for the pucks. For both uses, one must take care not to over-pounce.
